Tlingit Clan Houses decorated on the outside with carving/painting

Native Americans across the US use the "Thunderbird" as the symbol and name for God.  The Thunderbird is different than the eagle by the ornamentation of the image.

The raven and the eagle are the two major clans for the Tlingit.  The egle has the bent beak.
